KALA DESIGN STUDIO
KALA Design Studio was born from a social spirit convinced that through our project we can contribute and enhance the development of the national industry, promoting a better future for artisans and their environment through the internationalization of hand-woven pieces of high design.
Our mission is to give life to harmonious spaces through the creation of exclusive luxury rugs. We are dedicated to showcasing the exceptional talent of Colombian artisans and their traditional weaving techniques. With a focus on authenticity and creativity, we fuse natural materials with eclectic designs to produce unique pieces that reflect cultural richness and nature.

RESPONSIBILITY
Our brand was born in Colombia, a country that has been hit by an internal conflict for more than 50 years. For us, the purpose of creating this company was directly related to helping those people who have been most affected by violence. For this reason, we are proud that 80% of the people in our workshops have a rural background where the horrors of war, such as forced displacement, were experienced the most. The Yute, the main material for the textiles production, comes from Curití, a small town in Santander, Colombia. The Yute is the economic support for most families in Curití.
